Your words WILL ultimately shape your child's future...
Speak BLESSING not CURSING into your child's life. Those positive or negative words will shape their future. Speaking negativity into their spirit give grounds for the enemy to defeat their PURPOSE in life. Oh yeah, it's that DEEP. Telling them things like "you're bad" or "you're stupid" are words of defeat! You're like a spokes person for the devil. Stop it. Rather speak those things that are not as though they were. Even if they are doing something wrong, speak good things towards them. "You're still smart" "you're better than that" and "I love you anyway". Despite the odds, speak positively. YOUR words have the power to either build up or tear down their confidence.
KIDS GO THROUGH MORE STRESS THAN WE DO!
Whether or not you have noticed, they are trying to identify who they are in this world and their purpose. The on top of that they deal with what the world calls peerp pressure but overall it's temptation. It's bad enough they have peer pressure from the outsiders and the environment they live in. Coming home to a family (household) should be where they can regenerate all the things they were stripped of when facing temptation and defeat day to day. This world is cruel and if you don't tell your child that they can overcome ANY obstacle then they'll fall for anything.
A FAMILY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER, STAYS TOGETHER.
It's very important to pray WITH your kids. Yes, I said it. And I repeat. It's very important to pray WITH your kids. They need to know how prayer is modeled, what to pray about & that prayer is important. Kids don't know unless you SHOW them. Sto[ talking anout it all the time. Do it with them.
YOU ARE YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER!
It starts at home. Teach the youth that there's a devil out there in our midst, that why we see so much evil. And he is seeking to devour & destroy their destiny in Christ. It won't be easy. But with prayer & faith, God can do anything but fail. Remember that you are your child's teacher. When it comes to advice, they need you to tell the the TRUTH. Don't let the worls get to them before you do. It just may be too late to prevent them from going through some troubles.
ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.
Afterall, in this worls we will face many trials & tribulation, but that's not up to us to prevent nor try and avoid. We must keep on our armor at all times to fight off the attacks of the devil & his demons. Speak LIFE into your spirit, your child's life and the environment around you. The WORD of GOD is your weapon! Feel free to use it.
