So You Want To Be Anointed?

Sooo, you want to be anointed and used by God? Isaiah 61:1 Well, from studying the scriptures, to be anointed requires more than just a desire. We must be willing to sacrifice some things and some desires of our own in order to get closer to God and the power that only He can give! You know those places you go to that you know doesn't glorify God, or the people you associate with or have placed in your life more important than God. You want to be anointed & show forth the power of God? We must spend more time with GOD, giving up some things, seeking HIS face, applying the word of God & relying on HIS abilities, not yours. 

Ever went up to a stranger and asked them for a hundred dollars or an old friend that you haven't talked to in a while to borrow their car? No, right? So why do we do this with God? When we don't spend quality time in His presence daily, seeking His face, we can't expect for Him to just give us something when we ask for it. He has standards and desires more than just to be used, He wants a relationship with you, a close-knit-relationship, an unbreakable bond. It breaks His heart for us to use Him when we want something from Him or for Him to do something for us, and not be willing to give our whole heart to Him. You must make it a constant reminder and importance to you to become so wrapped up in GOD & the things of GOD that you literally become consumed with HIS presence.... & that it exudes your entire being & is obvious to those around you Galatians 2:20. Don't you want that? You should want  your life to be hidden in Christ so much so, you become the reflection of who HE is! God is jealous of all the things you place before Him, all the people you love more than Him... Can't you see, that this is what's clouding your focus that God cannot even use you? You will be able to read & apply what you read here from this blog. This is serious business. We must want our lives to be the living essence of who GOD is. Some people may never know Christ unless we live it before them. We might just be the only Christ they see. Let's make the best of representing our Heavenly Bridegroom.

1st off: Let's just shake off whatever things that distract our attention and focus on getting into the presence of God. 

Don't let doubt, unbelief, self, what others may think or what you might lose stop you from getting closer to GOD.  

Whatever you lose, wasn't meant to be there anyway. GOD will remove it, whatever doesn't line up with HIS will for your life, because HE desires your whole heart! Luke 10:27. Trust me, the only thing you will need at the end of this life is what you've received from GOD, not man, not self gain, ... but GOD alone! So make it priority that your life in Christ isn't mixed with add-ons from this world Ephesians 5:27.

Say this prayer with me: God we thank you for this beautiful, oh so wonderful day and time in your presence with you. We ask that you forgive us of every sin seen, known, committed, thought, and intended. We thank you for your unfailing love toward us. That even when we mess us, your mercy is available to us and that your grace is all we need in those things of weakness. Lord we struggle to keep you 1st place in our life. Break the struggle and quicken our spirit for the things of you. Your strength is made perfect in my weakness. God I'm weak, be strong in me. Empower me Lord. Make me steadfast and unmovable, always abounding in you! Lord, CUT off everything that takes your rightful place in my heart and in my life. Lord, I'm serious about you this time. You long to fill that void that I try so hard to fill with people and things of this temporary world. God we thank you. We lift your name on High. For you are more than worthy of our praises. We love you and understand that we need you and your guidance in order to live this life the way you called us to live it. Up to your standards and not our own made up ways. But to live this life victoriously without failure. Father our confidence is in you alone. Not in our ability, not from our own understanding, but in you alone. We praise you Heavenly Father, you are worthy of all the praises and our worship doesn't belong to self, people and things of this world, but our worship belongs to you only. In Jesus precious name, amen.

Now that we were able to release that to God. We want to get rid of anything that God has quickened our spirit to let go of. Right where you are, if there is anything bothering you or you know the Lord it is He's speaking to you about, let it go. Release it to Him. He'll take care of it. He knows about it anyway, so don't be ashamed to give it over to Him. 

Anointing comes by way of you getting closer to the Living God and allowing His Spirit to rule & reign in your life. Your obedience to what He asks of you to do it the gateway in His promises. Like any parent and child relationship, obedience brings about blessings. Some of you might be thinking, well I've accepted Jesus as my Lord & Savior but I don't understand why my life is in a constant cycle and I can't seem to be used by God. You came to this blog expecting to be changed right? Well, if you didn't know. The more we change for God the more He can use us & His anointing flows through us. Right now where you are. Ask God to be your focus your mouthpiece, your hands, your ears and your sight. Ask Him for His heart to take root in you. When God sees fit, He'll use you to do what He desires for you to do for His kingdom purposes. It takes work, time and effort to be called to a place in God to do His great works. Don't be discouraged or dismayed. Take the focus off of yourself & place is on the One who can do anything but fail! This will allow Him to take precedence in your life. You will begin to see life from the eyes of God and truly be used by Him. This is a beautiful thing because we will no longer view the world the same again. We will no longer be a part of it, but separated for the cause of Christ using us to minister/change to the world through us.

My hope and heart's desire is that you will seriously consider making Jesus the top priority in your life. Let Jesus be Lord over your life & be the center focus of your existence. We are to become His bride, to become spotless and without wrinkle or blemish. Getting rid of all the weight & things that easily besets you. Beloved, my prayer today is for you to really rely on God & take your walk with His seriously. He's not willing to hold back anything that your heart desires, but you must 1st delight yourself [to take great pleasure] in the Lord & He will GIVE you the desires of your heart Psalm 37:4. Don't just take my word for it, study the word of God [love letter] from God for yourself. Get deeply rooted & grounded in His word. Live up to HIS expectations, HIS standards, HIS ways not yours or anybody else's. Why? Because we can't serve two masters. We either live life our way & continue being our own god, or follow after Christ who leads us to eternal life and a life pleasing to the True & Living God. You have to make the choice Joshua 24:15. 

To be anointed is to be used by God and the only way you can be used by Him is by allowing yourself to get out of the way & allowing Him to GIVE you the desires your heart suppose to have & doing what He's called you to do. He'll GIVE you the power, the ability, the grace that's needed to fulfill the task.
